Mandurah Wildlife Rescue have been involved with Peel Farmers Market since its opening in Pinjarra in 2009. We were initially involved with helping to run the sausage sizzle stall once a month. We were encouraged to bring along our little furred friends to display. The Peel Farmers Market was a wonderful opportunity for us to meet with the public to raise awareness of the plight of our wildlife. It provided us with the opportunity to earn some much needed funds, which help support the many expenses we have in raising & rehabilitating wildlife in the Peel Region. It also allowed many overseas visitors the pleasure of meeting some of our wildlife up close as well as our younger generation the opportunity to pat & build understandings about our wildlife. As a community group we are very busy caring for animals & fundraising opportunities are often difficult to organise. Thanks to Peel Farmers Market we were able to attend at first once a month but in 2010 now once a week as a permanent display. This has been invaluable to our organisation as we have only recently acquired a larger premises to start our wildlife hospital & the money raised each week from the market is helping us by providing money to purchase equipment as well as money to feed our beautiful furred , feathered & scaled friends.

JESS (Junior Exchange Sailing Scheme)
JESS has been involved with the Peel Farmers Market in Mandurah since early 2010. They are raising funds in order to send 6 junior sailors off to Europe in June 2010. Rachael Ainge & her family have been hard at work raising funds for Thomas Ainge who is in the 2010 team. They have helped out at the market by putting out our temporary signage & also help us out with customer parking. All funds raised go to the team & we are happy to be able to support them & wish the team well in June.
